LEGAL AGE OF MAIORITY AND CAPACITY TO CONSENT
The guest states that have legal age (over 18 or 21 years in some jurisdictions) and that accepts the legal capacity necessary for the acquisition of services provided on the website, according to Terms and Conditions, that are fully understood.
The Shack Bar & Grill is not, under any circumstances, liable in the event that the products/services are hired by a minor, being held responsibility the minor, their parents or legal representatives, which must assume the costs and the consequences that may result from such contract. Access to the booking website is the responsibility of the Guest.
AGREEMENT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When the guest access the website to hire a product/service, should follow all the recommendations and instructions inherent to the acquisition process, agreeing with terms and conditions and any other forms created especially for a product/service mentioned on the acquisition process.
Upon acceptance of the terms and conditions, the guest authenticates the contract signed with The Shack Bar & Grill confirming:
• Booking Date
• Contacts on the booking (phone number, email, name and surname)
• Type of product (cabana or lake sunbed)
• N.º of People
• Payment for the selected product/service to finish the booking process
• An any other particular terms and conditions relating to the service described in the booking process
The guest agrees to confirm the veracity and accuracy of the provided information; in the event that the guest provides any false information, the booking will be null and void.
Once the booking is made, The Shack bar & Grill will send by email to the guest the receipt confirmation.
No general or specific terms and conditions communicated by the guest can be add under the terms and conditions described here. In the case of discrepancy between the evidence of booking request and the terms and conditions, the terms established in the proof of the booking confirmation are the only terms and conditions applicable to the obligation in question.
PAYMENT AND INVOICING
The Shack Bar & Grill's management policy is to charge the selected product/service in advance, according to the information below:
• Cabana Deluxe | Minimum 2 People and Maximum 3 People - 120 €
• Lake Sunbed | Minimum 1 Person and Maximum 3 People - 80 €
The prices presented for Cabana Deluxe and Lake Sunbed refer to the use of the service and not per hourly period, being immediately charged to the guest when making the booking. The final price of the contracted product(s) or service(s) is detailed, as well as indirect taxes or any other applicable fee or tax.
The guest only has 1 hour to pay for the purchased product/service. After the end of this period, the reservation is automatically cancelled, having to make a new reservation.

The Shack Bar & Grill and Stripe, Inc are obliged to process personal data based on Portuguese Law and regulations. Following the booking process the guest will be redirected to a protected page where they will be asked for credit/debit card details to proceed with payment. The booking rate will be immediately charged from the card. The Shack Bar & Grill will issue and deliver the invoice or receipt on the day of the booking.
The Shack Bar & Grill should inform that has hired Stripe, Inc. to perform and control the purchasing process of The Shack Bar & Grill services.
BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
The Shack Bar & Grill only accepts reservations for Cabana Deluxe and Lake Sunbed through the Quinta do Lago website. The beds will be allocated in accordance with the availability and randomly by the management team and not by the guest.
General Conditions
The Shack Bar & Grill establishes the following rules in the management of orders and bookings:
• Beach Opening Hours - between 10:00 am and 7:30 pm
• Check-in time – between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm (if you pretend a different time, please let us know in the booking comments)
• At the check-in process towels are provided, a tab is opened with €40 for each towel usage, it is only charged if the guest fails to return the towels (the exact number of towels used) at the check-out process
• All the bookings will have a 30 minute tolerance period
• All the bookings made more than 8 days in advance of the required date will be considered pre-bookings and may be subject to cancellation by the restaurant
• All the booking requests or other matters sent by email to the restaurant will be answered within a maximum period of 24 hours
• The restaurant does not work with table bookings only with the availability of the moment. Whenever the restaurant is full, the management team starts a waiting list and guests are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
The Shack Bar & Grill do not accept table bookings for the restaurant. Once the restaurant is full, we have a waiting list to sit guests on a first-come first-served basis.
Booking Modification Policy
The booking can be modified at any time through the Quinta do Lago website or by emailing theshack@quintadolago.com, mentioning the booking reference and the respective name. The restaurant management and the manager of this service only consider the following situations as modification/amendment of the booking:
• Booking Date (subject to availability)
• Number of People in the Reservation (subject to availability)
• Estimated time of arrival
Modifying or changing the name of the booking is considered a cancellation by The Shack Bar & Grill.
The change of arrival time made by the guest will not have any change on the amount paid previously on the booking process.
The terms and conditions for modification or cancellation are presented in the hiring process to the guest and his/her approval is required to make finish the booking process.
Booking Cancellation
Guest can cancel the booking any time through the Quinta do Lago website or by emailing theshack@quintadolago.com, mentioning the booking reference and the respective name. Any payment made by the guest in the purchase of a product or service will only be refunded in accordance with the assumption below:
• Cancellation up to 48 hours before the booking date – The amount will be refunded to the credit/debit card used by the customer at the time of booking and this operation will be carried out by Stripe Inc taking up to 10 business days
In the event of a guest no-show without prior notice, The Shack Bar & Grill will not refund the amounts paid.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Shack Bar & Grill is responsible for the management and maintenance of the space having the following rules and standards defined:
• Pets are not allowed on the entire lake sand and in the cabanas and lake sunbeds
• It is not allowed to bring food and drink to the beds, the Shack Bar & Grill provide food and drink service
• Bad behaviour on the beds area and inappropriate use of our equipment will not be tolerated. Any Guest who behaves inappropriately will be told to leave the premises and The Shack Bar & Grill will not give refund in these situations
• Moving furniture is not allowed
• It is not allowed to exceed the maximum capacity stipulated in the cabanas or lake sunbeds
• It is not allowed to practice sports on the sand (beach tennis, football…)
• The guest is solely responsible for the loss of personal belongings on the beach
• It is everyone's responsibility to respect the environment, especially the lake area and the Ria Formosa park. If you are a smoker, please inform our team
